ARTISTIC DIRECTOR MESSAGE

September 11, 2017

Dear Friends:

I am so excited!

Last season, we received a Matching Grant challenge from CSW “angel,” David Lee. The challenge? For every dollar we raised, David would match it up to $30,000. We put the challenge before you, our extended family of donors and supporters. Not only did you come through, you surpassed the goal! We will never be able to adequately thank you for your generosity or tell you how much that meant and still means to us.

Well, as every good play deserves a revival, Coyote StageWorks has once again been given a $30,000.00 challenge by Mr. Lee for our upcoming 9th Season! Yes, now through November 5th, every dollar you contribute, David Lee will match it up to $30,000.00! We are amazed and forever grateful to again be given such an opportunity. I know that we can all pull together and do it again this year!

And I know you want to hear about the shows! We’ve got them! Coyote StageWorks will be back in the Annenberg Theater for two hilarious productions. First up in February, DIRTY BLONDE* by Claudia Shear about the legendary Mae West, followed in March by the A.R. Gurney comedy, THE COCKTAIL HOUR.

Wait…there’s more! Season 9 will also include the re-launch of our “Play Dates” reading series at the Camelot Theater. With the addition of the 150-seat Camelot performance space, CSW will now be afforded the opportunity to present four “thought-provoking and entertaining” play readings and theatrical events in a fabulously intimate space, FREE OF CHARGE to the public. Now do you see why I’m excited? This is a very important project for us and for the community we love. It’s at the heart of Coyote StageWorks and is the foundation of our mission statement as a not-for-profit community-based arts organization. We will be announcing these titles shortly. Stay tuned.

All of this exciting news is because you have kept the wind at our backs over the past 8 years. Your generosity, enthusiasm and patronage has enabled us to become a leader in the theatre community of the Coachella Valley. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution today to keep Coyote StageWorks strong and dynamic. And remember, every $1 equals $2 now through November 5th!

See you in the aisles!
